God’s Word gives us a clear understanding of God, his plan and a better knowledge of ourselves.
We see his undeserved mercy and realise the gravity of our sin. We see his steadfast love at the face of constant human rebellion. We look at the world we live in and realise how much we need the world he promises.
We can guess all about God and try to figure out who we are in this broken world in vain or we can submit to his wisdom and let him be our teacher and our Lord. Wisdom would dictate we listen to the one who knows it all.
