For a long time I desired to know the Lord’s will over my life. There was that desire I cannot exactly tell from whence it came, probably it was from the books I read, perhaps it has something to do with the testimonies I listened to or the preachers I gave my ear to or really it was a voice in me yearning that I seek that which would honor the Lord, of a truth I can’t tell. Nevertheless, I searched on and even more complicated the issue became. Probably I was making a big fuss out of a simple matter, making it so broad when so simple and easy a matter to understand it is. You see I had this notion of breaking down God’s will into small specifics that really don’t matter much. I only needed to read and do what God says in His word, to read Romans 12: 1-2, 1 Thessalonians 4:2-4, 5: 16-20, Ephesians 5:6-7, 1 Peter 2:13-16, 3:17, 1 John 2:15-17….all am saying if you are out there desiring to know the will of God for your life then just pick the Bible and therein you will find it. And as regards all Christians, this is the will of God; to be reconciled with God and to take part in the redemption and reconciliation of the World to Him as 2 Cor 5: 18-21 so tells us . And ultimately to be available to be used by God and thereby fulfill His call to make disciples from all nations. And by thus doing, God’s Will will be done. So before you ask what is God’s will for your life, are you available? for indeed plenty is the work and few are the laborers; those who do God’s will.
